In Vietnam, "snus" is the everyday word for white nicotine pouches. The word travelled from Sweden, where snus has been used since the 1800s. When the all-white tobacco-free version arrived in the 2010s, most markets kept calling it "snus" out of habit. So in Vietnamese conversation "snus", "snus trắng" and "túi ngậm nicotine" all point at the same thing on this site: a small white pouch you park under your upper lip. On product pages we always state whether a product contains nicotine and how much.

A nicotine pouch is a small white pouch of nicotine, plant fibre, flavouring and water that you park between your upper lip and gum for 15 to 60 minutes. No tobacco, no smoke, no vapour, no spitting. Nicotine crosses the gum lining rather than the lungs, so nothing is inhaled and nothing is burnt. Swedish snus is made from ground tobacco leaf and is brown; nicotine pouches are white and use plant fibre in place of tobacco. Both sit under the lip. Everything VinaPouches sells is the white, tobacco-free kind. The practical differences: white pouches do not stain teeth the way brown snus can, they release flavour rather than tobacco taste, and they produce far less saliva. No. Every pouch VinaPouches sells is tobacco-free: nicotine, plant-based fibre (usually eucalyptus or pine cellulose), food-grade flavouring, sweetener and water. No tobacco leaf, dust or stem is used at any stage. Tobacco-free does not mean nicotine-free. The nicotine in a white pouch is still nicotine and is still addictive; it is simply not delivered on a bed of tobacco. If you want a product with no nicotine at all, look at the Zero and Energy lines.

A nicotine pouch contains five things: nicotine, plant fibre that gives the pouch its body, water, flavouring, and a sweetener such as sucralose. Many brands add a pH regulator so the nicotine releases at a steady rate. The fleece on the outside is food-grade, the same class of material used in tea bags. Take one pouch from the can, place it between your upper lip and gum, and leave it there. Do not chew or swallow. Remove it after 15 to 60 minutes and put it in a bin. Most cans have a compartment in the lid for used pouches. Press it gently into place with your tongue so it sits flat. Most people use the upper lip because it is more comfortable and less visible, but the lower lip works the same way. There is nothing to prepare, charge or light. Where a maker states no per-pouch figure at all, the VinaPouches product page leaves the strength field empty rather than guessing.

Slim pouches are long and narrow and sit flat along the gum; mini pouches are shorter and thinner, so they are the most discreet; regular pouches are wider and hold more material. All three are used the same way. VinaPouches lists 140 slim products and 49 mini products. Format changes perceived strength: with the same milligram figure, a slim pouch usually feels stronger than a mini because more of it touches the gum. Brands that offer both — VELO, ZYN, KLAR, Kelly White, LOOP, 77 — let you keep a flavour and change only the format.

Keep cans sealed, upright and out of direct sun, below about 25°C. In Vietnamese heat and humidity a fridge keeps pouches moist and flavour sharp for longer. Never leave a can in a parked motorbike or car. A closed motorbike compartment in Da Nang or Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon can pass 50°C, which dries pouches out and flattens the flavour within days. The fridge — not the freezer — is the right place for stock you are not using this week. Let a chilled can sit for a minute before opening so condensation does not soak the fleece.

An unopened can keeps roughly 12 months from production — check the date printed on the base. Once opened, use it within a few weeks before the pouches dry out and flavour flattens. Refrigeration slows both. An expired pouch is not dangerous, it is just dry and weak — the nicotine degrades slowly and the flavour goes first. If a can arrives with under three months left on the date, tell us and we will replace it.

VinaPouches delivers nationwide across Vietnam. Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City take 1–2 business days, Da Nang 2–3 days, and all other provinces 3–5 business days. Every order ships with a tracking number. Orders placed before 2pm on a working day are dispatched the same day. Yes. VinaPouches delivers to Da Nang and Hoi An in 2–3 business days, and to Nha Trang, Hue and Da Lat in 3–5 business days. Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City receive orders in 1–2 business days. Saigon and Ho Chi Minh City are the same destination for delivery purposes. Hoi An is served from the Da Nang route, so an order to Hoi An arrives about half a day after the same order to central Da Nang. Islands and remote communes may add one to two days. There is no physical VinaPouches shop in any city — everything is shipped.

Yes — cash on delivery is available nationwide. You pay the courier in cash when the parcel arrives, so no money leaves your account before the box is in your hand. COD orders are confirmed by phone or Zalo first. You can check the outer box before paying, but couriers do not allow opening the parcel first. If the box is visibly damaged, refuse it and the order is re-sent at no cost. COD is capped per order; larger orders are paid by transfer or card.

VinaPouches accepts cash on delivery. You pay the courier in cash when the order arrives, so no card or bank details are entered on the site at any point. Card and e-wallet options are not available yet.

Every VinaPouches order ships in a plain box with no brand name, product photo or nicotine wording on the outside. The shipping label shows a neutral sender name. Only you and the courier know what is inside.

Every can VinaPouches sells comes from an authorised European distributor and carries the maker's batch code and EAN barcode on the base. Compare that barcode with the one on the product page. If the barcode does not match, we replace the order. Signs of a counterfeit can: no batch code, a barcode that does not scan, blurred or misaligned printing, a lid that does not click shut, and pouches of uneven size inside. Grey-market cans sold on social media are the usual source. VinaPouches publishes the EAN on every product page precisely so it can be checked.

Unopened cans can be returned within 7 days of delivery for a refund or exchange. Opened cans cannot be returned, for hygiene reasons. If a can arrives damaged, send a photo within 48 hours and VinaPouches replaces it.

A tracking number is emailed as soon as your parcel leaves the warehouse. Paste it into the courier's website to follow the parcel. If tracking has not moved for 48 hours, message VinaPouches on Zalo.

VinaPouches sells only to adults aged 18 and over. Age is confirmed at the age gate on entry and again at checkout, and couriers may ask for ID on delivery. Orders that fail an age check are cancelled. Nicotine pouches are not for people who do not already use nicotine, at any age. Buying on behalf of someone under 18 is a breach of our terms and will close the account.

Oral nicotine pouches are not named in Vietnam's ban on e-cigarettes and heated tobacco (Resolution 173/2024/QH15, in force from 1 January 2025), and no Vietnamese statute currently in force names them either way. Resolution 173/2024/QH15, passed by the National Assembly on 30 November 2024, prohibits the production, trade, import, storage, transport and use of e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products from 1 January 2025. Its scope is written around those two categories. Oral nicotine pouches — pouches placed under the lip, containing no tobacco and involving no heating or aerosol — are a separate product category and are not listed. A draft amendment to the Law on Prevention and Control of Tobacco Harms, which would bring oral nicotine products including `túi ngậm nicotine` into a defined regulatory category, has been under preparation and is expected to reach a National Assembly vote around October 2026. If it passes, this answer changes. VinaPouches will update this entry and its review date within seven days of any change in the published text of the law. The Ministry of Health's draft amendment dated 20 July 2026 names túi ngậm nicotine explicitly and proposes a ban from 1 January 2027; Resolution 11/2026/UBTVQH16 scheduled it for the October 2026 National Assembly session.

Nicotine pouches are not a liquid, aerosol or battery, so cabin-baggage rules on those categories do not apply to them. Airline conditions of carriage and each destination's import rules differ and change — check both before you fly. Several countries in the region restrict or prohibit oral nicotine products outright, and some treat them as tobacco for customs purposes. Singapore, Thailand, Australia and Japan all have their own rules on possession or import. VinaPouches ships within Vietnam only and cannot advise on any other jurisdiction.

Every nicotine product carries risk. Nicotine pouches contain nicotine, which is addictive and raises heart rate and blood pressure. VinaPouches makes no health claim about them and cannot tell you whether they suit you — ask a doctor. What is documented: nicotine is addictive; it affects the cardiovascular system; and local gum irritation where the pouch sits is common. What is not settled: the long-term effects of tobacco-free oral nicotine specifically, because the products are roughly a decade old and long-horizon research does not yet exist. Anyone presenting a confident long-term verdict on these products — in either direction — is going beyond the evidence.

Nicotine pouches are not a licensed smoking-cessation product, and VinaPouches makes no claim that they help anyone stop smoking. If you want to stop using tobacco, a doctor or pharmacist is the right source of advice. Licensed nicotine replacement products — patches, gum, lozenges and inhalators — are regulated as medicines, tested for that purpose and dosed accordingly. Nicotine pouches are consumer products and are not. Vietnam runs a national tobacco control programme through the Ministry of Health; your commune health station or any hospital can point you to it.

Nicotine pouches can irritate the gum where they sit, and some users report soreness or gum recession at that exact spot. Moving the pouch between left and right is common practice. Tell your dentist that you use them. White pouches do not stain teeth the way brown tobacco snus does, because there is no tobacco pigment. That is a cosmetic difference, not a health one. Persistent white patches, bleeding or a sore that does not heal at the placement site should be looked at by a dentist promptly.

Anyone under 18, anyone who does not already use nicotine, and anyone pregnant or breastfeeding should not use nicotine pouches. If you have heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes or a thyroid condition, ask a doctor first. Nicotine also interacts with some prescription medicines. Anyone already taking regular medication should raise it with a pharmacist before starting. Nicotine is toxic to children and pets even in a used pouch, so store and dispose of cans out of their reach.
